Columbus, is a historic city located on the south-west of Georgia, called peach state where had been a most northern port city along Chattahoochee River to ship the cotton flower. I had a chance to visit the family of my wife's sister who has been living in this city for 6 years. The city and the Chattahoochee Valley are the mecca for history buffs, campers, hunters, cyclists and vacationars and offer a myriad of historical and recreational attractions.
This was my first visit to the south of the United Ststes, and was quite exciting and enjoyable trip. The town atmosphere was quite different from that of west coast, such as San Francisco or the New York City, and I felt like actually I had been in the South of this country. Columbus is the edge town of west Georgia and it was easy to go into Alabama where is famous as Country music. I also could enjoy quite wide and big land around there and those unartificial scenary impacted me a lot ! I will introduce this beautiful and attractive area with photos (photographs) and a short travelogue.
